Maintaining your treadmill is essential for ensuring its optimal performance and safety. Here are some important tips to keep in mind:
- Turn off the treadmill and unplug it from the electrical outlet before performing any maintenance.
- Regularly inspect the treadmill for signs of wear and damage, including nuts, bolts, moving parts, bushes, chains, wheels, bearing & connection points, etc. Inspect at least once a week to ensure safety.
- Do not modify the equipment in any way, and if any components are defective, contact the retailer or service agent immediately. Do not use the equipment until it is repaired.
- Use a warm, damp cloth to clean the treadmill, and avoid splashing water or fluids on or near the equipment. Do not wet clean electrical components.
- Lubricate the treadmill deck with silicone spray every 20-30 hours of use or at least once a month to maintain peak operation.
In addition to the above tips, here’s how to address two common issues with the running belt:
- Running belt moving to one side: If the running belt shifts to the left or right, turn on the Master Power Switch and let the running belt run at a speed of 2-3km/h. Using a hex key, adjust the appropriate rear roller adjustment bolt in a clockwise direction to bring the running belt back to the center. Repeat the adjustment process until the running belt is centered.
- Running belt slipping: If the running belt slips during use, turn off and unplug the treadmill. Using a hex key, turn both the left and right rear roller adjustment bolts in a clockwise direction for the same distance. Turn on the Master Power Switch and test the running belt. Repeat the adjustment process until the running belt stops slipping. If the running belt still slips after multiple adjustments, it may need to be replaced, and you should contact the retailer or service agent for further assistance.
By following these maintenance tips and addressing issues promptly, you can ensure that your treadmill remains in top condition and provides a safe and effective workout experience.
